Advice regarding faulty front door please.

Hi All,

I'm new here just looking for some advice if possible. I'll try and keep it brief.

*Solid wood composite front door the company say they manufacture themselves (local company)

*Ordered August 2021 installed on 1st October 2021

*Received quote online but went to store to sign contract pick out door.

*Paid by bank transfer on day of installation 

* Door installed on 1/10. On 20th October we noticed a draught and that the door was warped top and bottom i emailed them the next day. After countless emails and them trying to make good they finally agreed to replace it. The replacement was installed on 20 December 2021.

* On 4th April 2022 I had to email the company again as the same issue has happened again, the door has warped and will not catch on the top and bottom latches when closed. They replied saying they would speak to an engineer and contact me later that day. I have heard nothing from them.

 

So my question is do we have to agree to let them fix the door again or can I request a refund? What are our options with this?

I don't want to have to keep doing this every few months. The door is obviously not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose given the fact it doesn't close properly and even when it's closed it can sometimes take 5 minutes to open. We have had to install draught excluders around the door again now, as we did in October. 

Can anyone offer any advice please? I'm going to email them so would like to be prepared.
