I purchased a pair of Chanel frames from my opticians. My lens are quite expensive and these were put into the frames
On the top of the frames in both sides it says CHANEL in gold with their symbol. I really love them. But unfortunately the gold letters started to disappear. I have returned these twice and got a exchange, but the Kettering has disappeared again The L is almost gone. This time the company who made the glasses are refusing another exchange. What can I do? I can't afford to change shape as I would have to buy new lens

How long have you had them?
Letters shouldn't be rubbing off, so clearly faulty.
The problem is if you ask for a refund, it will be a partial refund and possibly only for the frames, depending on how long you've had them in total, as they often list the lenses as a separate item.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
As @pinkshoes said the frames are clearly not fit for purpose. Did the optician supply both the frames and lenses? That should put you in a stronger position legally. You could then change shape without penalty.0

It definitely depends on age. Are they 6 months old or 6 years old?

I purchased these 28/8/20 I have had them exchanged twice already. They cost me £279 for frames and my lens were £440
My optician has said they will try again before warranty runs out in August0 -
Do you take them off buy holding where the lettering is? As for them to rub off it has to be rubbing on something.Life in the slow lane0

Do you use hair products? Sprays/mousse etc? It could be that you're spraying/coating the glasses with chemicals that although not harmful to skin, might react with the coating of the lettering? I did have a pair of another brand once where this happened. I had to remember to apply the styling spray without my glasses on to ensure that nothing got in contact with the lettering. It's just a thought and something to consider.1

I had similar thoughts to cymruchris. Add to the possibilities things like hand creams and lotions. That said, the lettering should be robust enough not to rub off in the space of a few months. Trying to find your own fixes shouldn't be required but clear nail varnish over the lettering might help. Given the amount of trouble the OP has had, I wouldn't actually want to do anything which would give the manufacturer the opportunity of saying it was the OP's fault.

No I haven't used any creams etc and when cleaning them I hold them by the bridge. I keep them in their box when I'm not wearing them.0
