So even though I’ve admitted I walked off the site (I told them I went to check where I should have parked then came back to my car) I can continue with the process and expect to defend myself in court?0

I can continue with the process and expect to defend myself in court? Why not, especially as we've not seen a UKCPS case go anywhere near a court hearing for around 3 years. Can't give guarantees, but it's the chance that I'd take. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So much scope here, but much depends on what was said. Did the driver admit not just leaving, but also shopping elsewhere?
Define site. Is it obvious?
Did you mean the car park or the curtilage of the buildings and flowerbeds (if any). What if you were scanning the horizon to hunt for the store you planned to shop in next, but had not *left*
Was the driver observed to leave the vehicle in situ for any continuous period and to have fully left the premises? We're they observed both parking and leaving?
Do they have first hand witness evidence from a traffic/parking bod?

I stated I walked round to the other entrance and came back (as per the picture below) to see where I should have turned and parked. I didn't see a warden or any signs (I will go and check on the route in and out of the car park when I'm passing on Sunday).
As I told them I left for a few minutes as I walked out and back they don't have to prove I left. I tried to appeal to common sense but then having read on here that was daft.0 -
Never mind. Sit tight! Please don't tell us about any debt demands because nothing has changed in a decade about the advice in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread to ignore debt letters. We never want to hear about tedious old DRPLUS. DCB ltd or ZZPS etc.
Come back if they try a small claim. If you move house do not leave them holding your old address - that way CCJ danger would lie.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I received a reply from IAS today:
”Thank you for your appeal. Due to further information UKCPS Ltd has confirmed they will no longer be pursuing the matter and the parking charge has been cancelled.”
Not sure why or how but very happy I don’t have to pursue this any further.

Well done, job's a good one!
leaving the site cases are so difficult for a PPC to prove. I'm sure if UKCPS got stuck into rebutting your appeal, they might somehow reveal something they might not want exposed in the public domain.Whatever, you win, UKCPS can swivel. 🙂Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
