Hello,

Grotty shower screen seal after 8 months any tips for cleaning rather than buying new one?

The seal itself is totally fine as was only installed 8 months ago. Would be shame to throw it out and buy a new one…save the environment etc.

Thought I could take it off and soak it in something but it’s long and awkward.

There's a spray bleach cleaner from Domestos (other brands are available) that you spray on, leave for 20 minutes then wash off - keeps my seals looking new.

Mine are permanent seals - so nothing gets removed.

Actually just checked - I thought it was domsestos - it's actually Cif - but there are other options available.

You can use soap to wash instead of shower gels.
Since I started doing that the shower is cleaner, less mould on seals - and the drain stays cleaner.
Not having so much to clean is perfect.
