Morning folks.
Outside is murky, doesn't look inviting at all, perhaps it'll clear.

This morning I'm off down to Glasgow early doors. I'm handing over my late DM's documents to the university at 10.00a.m. and then have my two appointments at hospital. An X-ray on one hip and an ultrasound injection on the other. My friend Alan is taking me and I'm staying overnight with him.
I'm on the run now, I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Wednesday to all. 😀

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.Hope your hospital appts go ok.It's a murky start here as well. dull and damp, we had some heavy rain yesterday. Did most of the things we'd planned, took stuff back to the van, but didn't take the van out, that job is going to be done today.Thinking of our poorly people today, and those struggling with life - take care folks.16

Morning all
Dull and damp start to the day here hopefully it will brighten up later on, all ok here with the evil boss she was as nice as pie again yesterday - very strange !
Off to work today and my least favourite day but then only tomorrow to go and four days off which will be lovely.
Dinner tonight will be chicken chips and peas a nice easy dinner after a long day at work, dw has been emptied this morning.
TA I have everything crossed for your friend I went for a double mastectomy, it seemed the right choice for me, best advice I got was while in hospital take all the painkillers they offer you, dont try and be a hero and go without there is absulutly no need for her to be in too much pain please send her my best wishes xxx
Nels big hug to you my lovely xxxx
Gers good luck with your appointment xx
Have good days all xxx15 -

Morning folks and thanks GERS for the early start. Have a safe journey to Glasgow and hoping the hospital appointments go well.
It's supposed to be quite a nice day here but at the moment it looks neither here nor there. At least no rain is forecast! Blooming heck it really clattered down last night as I was going to bed but fortunately didn't last long.
My eye test went ok despite the young lady telling me numerous times my sight had got worse and I shouldn't have left it this long! I knew that without her telling me. I narrowed down my choice of specs with the help of a lovely assistant who didn't rush me at all. Then I decided on some sunglasses too as there was an offer of 50% off any second pair so I thought why not! Eeek more belt tightening ahead.
It's bus trip day today, with the usual wine 'n dine lunch. All 3 of us today for once so there will be much catching up to do. We will probably end up in either Skipton or Ilkley as usual as we don't have a huge selection of buses to choose from. Trailing round a city is out for 2 of us these days sadly.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, poorly loved ones and those convalescing. CAMELOT I hope today is a better day for you. Take care one and all and stay safe xx
Sorry RUBY cross posting. Thank you for your advice I will pass it on to her. xx

Morning everyone
Dull here this morning - I've got my bedding busy washing so it'll have to hang indoors. I wanted it done before I go away tomorrow. My mam is going to church this morning so I'll go down and sit with dad while she's out. Also got little great nephew's Easter egg to drop off.
This afternoon I'll pack my bag for tomorrow - everything is ready on my bedroom floor so won't take a lot of doing. Half of it is stuff for DD - paracetamol and hayfever tablets because they're expensive in Germany and a telescopic duster - apparently she really need one! Also her Easter chocolate - she'd be very disappointed if I didn't take chocolate though I'm sure German shops are well supplied with it!
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x13 -
Morning All
Damp and dreary this morning but much milder, washing can go on the pulley. Bathrooms cleaned and floor mopped.
I have visitors today for lunch, friends from SA have relatives over and apparently they really want to meet me! DD and the little one will be here too. Haggis, neaps and tatties for lunch (will do some chicken too in case they don't fancy the haggis, although that is veggie).
I gave up on yesterday, after my walk for the shopping I was pooped. The RAC were here within 40 minutes and the lovely chap fixed the problem. My thumb is really sore when I touch it, right on the top so I'm using it all the time and it keeps opening up again. It's been zapped with spray plaster with a plaster on the top.
Hope your appointments go well Gers.
Have a good trip dp1, bet you're really excited now.
Enjoy your lunch TA.
Right, off to the allotment (hopefully), take care. XX11 -
Morning all. Am posting early for once since i'm working from home today so no dreary early morning commute. Pretty miserable outside here, wet yesterday and currently foggy and damp. Hoping it picks up for the Easter weekend which I'm not working for once. No great plans here today, working all day and then dinner of bacon sandwiches to look forward to. Hope your hospital trip goes well GERS and that your day isn't too bad at work RUBY Have a good day everyone D12

Good morning all. I am new to this site/forum/thread, so hope I'm doing the right thing
It's a rather misty, drizzly, damp and overcast morning over here in the Lake District. But at least it's not cold, and haven't had the need to fire up the central heating for a change.
Finishing off my breakfast of scrambled egg on toast, before setting off to work. The unfortunate thing is that I drew the short straw and will have to work on Good Friday and Easter Monday. But at least I will be on time and half for my pains. So looking forward to having a nice Easter break, but that's just the wat it is I suppose.
It's my partner's turn to do the cooking tonight. I suspect it will be another curry variation. She likes her curries hot and spicy, whereas I'm the opposite (a korma or a masala at a push is my limit). She will sometimes trick me into thinking what she has cooked in fairly mild, but when I take a first spoonful it's as spicy as hell and I go all red and drink a gallon of water while she laughs her !!!!!! off!
Must remember to buy some Easter eggs on the way home11 -
Morning all dog has been walked and fed DS is looking after us but DH and I are struggling to make it through a day in all honesty so we are going to cancel seeing the family over Easter as i wouldn't want to infect anyone and the rules are really ambiguous so they say 5 days isolation and then you can be set free into the public domain but if you have no symptoms you can return to work at any point then they hit you with you may be infectious for 10 days so i really am not surprised its running through the country as the rules make no sense
Gers hope the hospital visit goes well
DP1 Have a wonderful time with your DD
TA Enjoy wine and dine also best wishes for your friend x
