Over charged bill with shell energy
Options
I have a 3 bed semi and live alone and was paying £69 a month estimated. The new charges are £335 and they are saying I owed them £3000 can anyone help and advise me. Iv asked for a breakdown and what I was paying and what I will be paying. It’s now changed to I owed them £7500 but can’t go back further than 12 months it’s totally blowing my mind and the lack of any sort of answers from them is making me feel Ill. Thanks

Much more info needed, it's far too vague. Please post the relevant parts of the bills (redact personal info including S number / MPAN, M number / MPRN and the meter numbers).Who can't go back further than 12 months?0

@dazbo88 As has been said much more info please
Is this gas and/or electric ?
Can you go back and have a look at your last bill from Shell and give us 1) the meter readings and include the letters A,C E or Smart/Cust Read/Our Read ; 2) the bottom line - are you in credit / debit
Can you read the meters today please- watch out for the decimal point
Big increases are quite possible - if you were in debt, on a very good fix now ended, now on variable tariff or you accepted a new fix
Big bills £2500 or £3000 suggest meter reading errors. You do read your own meters don't you and give them to Shell.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
