Economy 7 Tarrifs

Options
Since the price cap rise this month I notice my economy 7 tarrif has increased from Just over 7p per kwh to about 19pper kwh.
This is far above the price cap percentage rise. Can this be legal? I can’t even be sure exactly what my night rate is other than by calculation of the smart meter information as the meter does not give me that information nor do Utility Warehouse display it on their website.
What happened to the terms and conditions which require notice to be given to customers beforehand?

Yes, it is entirely legal and no, there isn't a 'price cap percentage rise', the 54% you often see quoted is just the average of all the regions and all the elements (kWh/standing charge for gas and electric) for typical user paying by DD, it isn't a specific limit on anything at all.
Also if you were paying 7p on a night rate then you were not on the variable tariff anyway, and that '54%' was based on the average rise between the current cap and the previous cap.
You should have the current tariff details in your online account and similarly you should have been notified by email or in your account a few weeks ago.
