In case this hasn't been posted already BEIS have released the consultation on how the scheme (aka the £200 loan, not loan) would work.

Main points I picked out

Main points I picked out
- To be paid per electricity meter not per household
- The £200 will be held against usage so no customers will be receiving money directly from the suppliers as a result of this
- Suppliers should look to reprofile customers’ direct debit levels over the six-month period to 31 March 2023 in line with the credited amount
- Traditional PPM customers to get 5 * £40 worth of vouchers or SAM's
- Preference for the £200 to be recovered in £40 chunks over 5 years through the DNO's (i.e. DNO's to incorporate this into charges to suppliers who will be able to pass these to customers via the price cap)
