Energy Companies Reporting On Your Credit File?!?

E.ON have reported to CRAs for years, however they need your full name and DOB to do so. Are you still with them or have you been moved to E.ON Next as AFAIK they don't yet report to CRAs.Sea_Shell said:I've just checked my report with Credit Karma, and Eon are now reporting, with a zero balance, and lots of green ticks.
I'm assuming as I am in credit by £250, that the balance would only be reported if it was a negative balance?
But then it also randomly shows a credit balance of £36 in June 21. So not sure why it's not reporting my current credit balances since then.
Will keep an eye on it.
This is what it looks like...

We started with Eon in April 21, and were migrated to Next in November.
Previously with So, and I don't recall seeing them on our reports in the past. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
I suspect E.ON haven't updated the CRAs to show your account is now closed and are continuing to show a zero balance each month. You'll probably find in a month or two that it's changed to show your account is closed. I assume in the future E.ON Next will start to report with CRAs1
