scottish power smart meter,indoor moniters not working and never have since being installed 2 years

hi all,
has anyone else had a smart meter installed by scottish power,which the indoor moniter doesnt work,so we cant see what electric certain appliances use,so were unable to know what items to cut back and not use so often.
we need the moniter working know that energy costs are so high.
ive been told that the technology for these moniters was not in place when they told to have a smart meter installed,and still isnt available yet,what can we do to get it working?ive tried everything ive been advised?
they were not fit for purpose when they were installed,the wi-fi wasnt available,they lied to us?

You make them sound very exciting - they really tell you no more than what you already know.  

Reading the meter itself is a good practise to get into and the info sent back can be seen on the suppliers Energy Hub. The costs you see there may well scare you.

Odds on you will discard them to a back of a kitchen drawer inside a week.
