Removal of Missed Payments from Lloyds

Hi Guys,
Lots of you have helped me in the past - though I can't find my other older account name on here, but anyway, I just wanted to post what happened here in case it's of use to anyone.
During lockdown I lost a lot of income and got into trouble with my card debts etc.
I missed some payments on my credit card with Lloyds Bank. I explained to them at the time that I had absolutely no choice due to my work situation.
Anyway they still marked my credit file with their missed payment indicators which made my situation really difficult as I was hoping to move house etc.
I complained strongly to them but they said unless they had made an error, they never remove missed payment indicators, end of story.
I knew it was unfair as I'd been a customer for years; also they kept saying they were there to help in their ads over coronavirus, which had caused my situation.
So I contacted the Financial Ombudsman and explained that I felt they had treated me unfairly.
It took a good few months to hear back but the result was that Lloyds agreed to remove them. I am grateful to the Ombudsman and lucky this was the decision.
So I'm just putting this hear to encourage anyone that feels they've not been treated fairly.
I know it is notoriously difficult to get credit scores altered unless it is their fault - as I spent ages looking into it - but it is not impossible if you've been treated badly by these mean banks.
Just hope this might encourage anyone in a difficult situation to try.
Remember these banks don't care about you, whatever their ads say!

Just for reference, Lloyds might have agreed to do this to solve it as it's cheaper than arguing or FOS maybe told them they should have used it as a hardship case. If you missed payments, then marking your file with missed payments is correct per the ICO guidance however1
