Checked out with discount codes

Options
Hello!

I’ve purchased some items online from a reputable company. Now, I acquired X4 10% off discount codes which when I applied at the checkout they all worked in conjunction with each other which totalled to 40% off. I checked out and the payment has gone through and been authorised…
my question is, if this is too good to be true, can the company cancel my order if this is a ‘mistake’, even though their website has allowed it?

Thanks in advance and I hope this makes some sort of sense. Fingers crossed this isn’t too good to be true!

  • I would like to add the X4 10% discount codes were from their brand ambassadors social media.

What do their terms say about using more than one code and about when the contract is formed?

It seems you already believe the codes shouldn't have been accepted, which would make it simple for them to cancel the order.

Usually, there will be something in the T&Cs that state discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with anything else e.g. only one at a time.

I would have a look at what their T&Cs say, and then don't be surprised if your order does get cancelled.

Also, if their T&Cs do mention it and they still send them, then they could ask for them to be sent back if you have purchased them by "fraudulent" means e.g. knowingly using more than one discount code that goes against their T&Cs you agreed to, or could ask for you to instead pay the correct amount.

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Thanks for this information. I’ve read the T&C’s which don’t have any mention of discount codes.

it does say they have the right to cancel the order for ‘any reason’ so I’ll await my order to be cancelled I think!

    Thanks again

I'm intrigued - who is this reputable company?

Pity you only managed to get four of those codes, 10 would have been good!
