Currys/HiSense dishwasher fault dispute

Hello - I purchased a HiSense dishwasher (never again!) from Currys in September 2021 (approx 7 months ago). About 2 weeks ago the dishwasher failed to turn on with apparently no power going through it at all, no lights no nothing.
I went through the Currys repair line and they (HiSense I think) sent out an engineer who literally walked in, took a picture of the dishwasher and walked out saying "don't worry they will replace it and they'll be in touch with you".
However after a week I had heard nothing so I decided to call them to chase this up.
The agent basically said that the door seal was broken and it looked like I had tried to weld it back together and that they will not replace the dishwasher, no mention that the dishwasher doesn't actually power on!
I mean seriously, actually can't believe they have said this and they also are refusing to send out another engineer for a second opinion as I told them that I dispute the engineers report.
So looks like I've been screwed over! Is there anything I can do about this as I'm really not happy about this.

Thanks

You could consider getting an independent engineers report (which you would have to pay for it up front but you may be able to claim costs back) and take it from there.

You need to check who the engineer worked for also take a few photos for your file and to show on here.
Currys are the people who should resolve this, and good luck with them???

These Hisense appliances don't make sense.
I bought a slimline dishwasher in November 2020 to replace a Beko that lasted six years.
Seven days after the warranty expired a week ago, the appliance's drainage pump packed up like a little time bomb.

It seems to fix this is throwing a good ££ after bad at £230 for a device that cost £213 two years ago.

Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
