Dunno where to post this...so.

I found a broken bike behind Halfords (in the bin).

It looks ok except front wheel and possibly rear wheel need replacing. and a little DIY genius is needed to fix front brake assembly (I think I can do that) I'll do the front brake first no point buying new wheels if there's no front brake.

Halfords said 26 inch wheels are 23 quid front, 25 quid rear. I was hoping some MSE has a good idea???

Have a look in ASDA, the one near me had some wheels in the other day. If it's the bike frame you're interested in you could pobably get a second hand bike from your local small-ads for less than the cost of two new wheels.

Last time I replaced a rear wheel at a local independant shop I was charged £25 too.

Ok I'll look in Asda. When you changed your wheel did you ask them to do the work? or did you buy the wheel and do it yourself? if you did it yourself did it come without the gear cogs and you had to swap the cogs onto the new tyre? did £25 include a tyre and inner tube or just the wheel?
