So as you can see many have different opinions on what's best.
My experience with growatt ended when I threatened them with court, it was an sph3600 inverter, and it was ... let's just say poor.
So same inverter,  but it was 3 years ago, maybe their products have improved... maybe there service has improved,  but I'd doubt it tbh.

Regarding your optimisers, tigo are fine, no need for soalr Edge.
Tigo are included as you have shading at the back, yep, when you have no Shading, there is no need for optimisers.
It's better to have them, sure, but since you have no Shading on the front, they are an add on you get a miniscule benefit from, at a not insignificant cost.
    West central Scotland
    4kw sse since 2014 and 6.6kw wsw / ene split since 2019

The inverter would need the ability to have 2 strings as its E/W, if onlt 1 string then you would need optimisers on one of the roofs.
8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.

Appreciate the views. The optimizers are only for four panels on the garden side, front roof no such as issues.

It seems like few that do have the current growatt systems don't have any issues on this forum.

    Will think about the iboost.
4kw Hyundai Solar split on East and West roofs. Growatt inveter and Growatt 6.5kw battery. iboost connected to 250ltr tank.

I've no idea if the technology installed in the SPH series has evolved over the 3 years that has been quoted above, mine was manufactured on the other side of the world on 2021-11-08 and installed here in the UK on 2021-11-30.  Responses to some of my questions have been sllooowww, but I have had direct calls and WhatsApp communications with a UK based Growatt Tech. The systems reporting being cloud based, is still a bit pants though (in my view).

For me the iBoost  did not seem like a reasonable ROI (could be wrong, I often am), hence we installed a wi-fi immersion switch, which is currently a manual process of monitoring generation and battery charge, if sufficient then switch on immersion via the app, but I'm looking to see if I an automate that (when I get time).

Edit: Just to add, the Emergency power back up supply is great, if you have charge in the battery!
    2 Separate arrays, 7 x JASolar 380w panels (2.66kWp) south facing, 4 x JASolar 380w panels (1.52kWp) east facing, 11 x Tigo optimizers & cloud, Growatt SPH5000, Growatt 6.5kWh Hybrid battery (Go-live 01/12/21) - Additional reporting via Solar Assistant.

The optimisers do have a benefit as the panels age, or so I read (on solaredge!) as panels do not degrade at the same rate.
I am not sure about that Octopus tariff. I understand their SEG is over 7p providing you are an octopus customer. The other higher rate I thought was only at certain surge times. Perhaps someone can elaborate.
London. 6.4kwh system, South facing. 16 Hyundai 400kw all black panels w/ optimisers, 6kw Solaredge HD Wave inverter, Solar Iboost with two immersion heaters on one 240l hw tank. Octopus Flux. Ivar 5 Wood Burning Stove. Leaf 62kwh plus Zappi. Two chickens: 1 Light Sussex, 1 Speckled Rock. Omlet walk-in run. Approx 1.5 eggs per day egg generation rate using Marriage's organic layers pellets.

I think their SEG tarriff is 4p or so if you aren’t an import customer.

if you import and export you can join octopus agile. My understanding is that the export rates are rarely dropping below 16p in my region, often a lot more than that depending on the time of day.

There are several who have posted negative views on Growatt. As an experiment for yourself, try reaching out to their customer service team.

If it was my system, I would narrow my quote to GivEnergy or Solaredge only.
    -  10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
    -  Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
    -  Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)

Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!

Would this be better suited then the Go tarrif ? My plan was to import cheap rate over winter and store in the battery.

Issue with a wifi spur I would need to monitor the generation to decide when to enable the imesserion tank and I think after a while I would get fed up however the price of the iboost plus is reliability concerns me.
