I have just moved into a new house and it has a boiler and water storage tank. How is it best to use this to save money?
We only want the water on in the morning for a 30 min shower, and maybe in the evening 3 or 4 times a week for a 30 min shower at these times? Do you turn the water heater on in advance to warm the water up or leave it on all the time?

You've posted in the Budgeting and Bank Accounts board, presumably by mistake.

In the 'Mortgages and Homes' section there's one called 'In my Home.. etc'.

There's an energy section. Energy — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Post there providing more details and they will help. Things to include; what fuels do you have gas and electric? Is the boiler heated with gas? Do you have a programmable timer for the hot water?
30 minutes is quite a long shower and will cost however you do it.2 -
Moved to Energy so the post has more chance of useful replies. Thank you.1
