Handed notice but boss mentioned recent promotion my be withdrawn

So they did rescind the promotion and wanted me to work full notice, I threatened to go down the legal route and they’ve told me I can leave at the end of next week, happy days

You could say you want to work your notice and see if they put you on gardening leave.

A claim for what?  He wants to go and he is going, so he won't have anything to claim for.

You could say you want to work your notice and see if they put you on gardening leave.

The promotion was effective 10 days before I handed my notice in, so it wasn’t a promise of one it was confirmation that it had happened so a withdrawn of it from my legal knowledge would be breach of contract so I can leave immediately and sue

Perhaps read the thread before posting random questions next time.

Well clearly there is nothing to sue for, because they have agreed to leave. What they outline there would only be a possibility if they hadn't both agreed to early termination instead.

How is directly asking you about what you said about a "random question", by the way?

I could but have the start date with the new job and in all honesty we all want it to end so best to leave it at this, plus I don’t really want to do nothing for 10 weeks
