Symbio - meter rolled past zero causing overcharge error

I joined Symbio in April 21 and was with them till they went in to administration. My average monthly bill was about £130 In August my meter rolled over past 00000 and my September bill was £260. I queried this with Symbio at the time but no response. Before I could involve the ombudsman they went in to admin. My final bill stated I had a debt of approx £100 so I calculated my bill from the meter reading when I joined in April to the final meter read in September using  readings accepted by them take away DD payments I had made and it came out I was £28 in credit. I checked the Sept – August invoice and what happened was the August estimate  amount which I paid was shown as zero( as if I hadn’t paid August) in the September Invoice due to the meter roll over and their software error making September bill a combination of August and September. Since then they have been harassing me for this amount with fifty plus emails. I have sent the sums, copy invoices shown them the error in the calcs but they just ignore it. I have sent copies to the AZETS Administrators and no response. CAB was no use told me to write to Administrators. Ofgem no use. Eon Next no use. So we struggle on waiting for it sorted or sent to debt collectors and a day in court.       

            My main point here is to make readers aware that if an error can be generated by a software glitch when a meter passes zero the there could be lots of other customers owed money in a similar situation that don’t realise this. Similar if a meter is changed or a smart meter (reading starting at zero) installed that may generate an error. Read Symbio on Trustpilot  there are a number of people with similar problems and nobody is investigating this.
