EDF Statements Cancellations and online

I received an email on Saturday telling me, my new bill was ready to view.
On clicking the link, the website told me there was no bill to view.
It also showed me that all my bills (6th January, 4th February and 5th March)  had all been cancelled and I was in credit by £669.66.
The same screen told me that I had to pay £481.66 which I found very confusing.
I would have expected my new bill to arrive last week around 5th April. However, my next bill is due 11th May and covers the period from 3rd December to 11th May.
After speaking to a representative working from home, I also found out that the meter readings I had given on the 31st March had not been recorded and that estimates had been input in their place.
It's bad enough with all the issues around power supply without having to continuously confuse people and enduring additional stress with website misinformation.
And how can you pay a bill if you haven't received an invoice???
I had more questions for the customer services lady, but with a baby crying in the background I didn't want to incur her with anymore stress from a confused customer.
Just ensure you check you meter readings for the 31st March against the bill once received.

EDF's emails do tend to come out early  (sometimes days) before  anything appears in their online accounts. Be patient.

Your EDF experience is par for the course I am sorry to say.

How do you give your meter readings ?

I normally input meter readings online, however due to the website crash on 31st March, EDF supplied me with a form to fill in on-line and return, however this system appeared not to have worked.

There are no problems with online meter readings now.

Another poster told of how a bill had got stuck in the system - try Chat and see if they can find it.
