  • i could never get my head around all the hidden things that are in everyday foods..... you must need to be so careful.

I wish i was allergic to crisps and chocolate, that'd help!

It's mad, I still regularly eat things that I shouldn't because I haven't learnt all the names for ingredients yet. I've only been trying to do this for about nine months, I have IBS now because no-one picked it up sooner  :(

I can't have crisps or chocolate!

Oh you poor things Gemmzie & Toto. I am not allergic as such but have suffered with IBS in the past and it still flares up now and again and the pain is awful. Mind you in my case some of the pain was down to undiagnosed endometriosis . I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Sorry it means you have to miss out tho'.

Hiya! I haven't gone missing, I promise - I never manage to get on much on a Friday, as it's my mentally busy day! I've JUST sat down after being on the go from 6am!

I'm now babysitting for my friend's baby (same age as Natasha), but she is fast asleep and has been since she arrived, so I've managed to get loads done, including batch cooking the baby food which I was supposed to be doing yesterday but didn't get round to.

Still got a sink full of washing up to do - would it be really disgusting to leave it till tomorrow?? :o

Oddly, I went through a phase of being intolerant to chocolate from age 19 - 25 (not allergic, but it made me pretty ill), but when I was pregnant with Ryan, I started craving it (low iron count can do that I think?), and I had a sneaky bit - I didn't have any reaction at all, and to this day I have never had another reaction to it.

So I can eat chocolate again - which is great for my tastebuds, but not so good for my waistline!

I have dark chocolate envy actually - I want to be all classy and sophisticated and say 'Oh, I only like the 70% stuff', but honestly? Give me a cheapo bar of milk chocolate and I'm happy! :o (especially if it has hazelnuts in it)

I only like the 70% stuff, 85% is gross, far too bitter.

We bought some 99% stuff in France a couple of years ago, just for a laugh - it was vile, but fabulous in cooking, as long as you sweetened it up a bit. It was a Lindt one I think.

    Someone mentioned chocolate :T

I'm a cheapy girl too. Was loving the return of the Wispa until it disappeared off the face of the earth again.
