I have very awkward food allergies, Elli, and I get really embarrassed being "fussy" in front of other people, it's a big group - all my dad's work colleagues about 17 of us I think.

Hey gem, don't worry about your allergies. I'm very allergic to soya, and that's in almost everything. I'm just open about it, I explain right away that there is a lot of stuff I just can't eat or I'll end up in casualty. I find everyone is very understanding and just curious about what happens if I eat soya.
One of my close friends is allergic to wheat, eggs, dairy and nuts. So, for our wedding I made sure there was stuff on the general menu he could eat, so he didn't feel different.:A

You're a very good friend Toto, I've had some awful reactions in restaurants/pubs and a couple who've completely screwed up!
I'm wheat, dairy, nut, spicy, meat free. I don't think I'm fussy with it though, give me any kinda fish/seafood with veg or rice and I'm happy
So many places forget dairy includes yoghurt, butter. Wheat includes gravy, pasta, anything bread-based. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
