Faulty front room Furniture

Options
I purchased two chairs from an online shop last March 2021 - they where faulty as rips started to appear in the fabric after a couple of month after purchase . The store claimed it was the productions fault as the fabric was obviously pulled too tightly in production . They agreed to replace the chairs for free .
The new chairs arrived in June 2021 and now I’ve noticed the rips again in the same places at the sides of the chairs but also the legs on both chairs are now coming loose . One leg you can see the crews come away at the top .

What are my rights on chairs that are not fit for purpose and obviously have quality control issues .

Should I get a replacement again for both chairs , or an I entitlement to a refund .

  • Hello OP, after 1 repair or replacement you can instead reject the goods for a refund.

It's worth a note that the retailer can reduce the refund to account for ownership (typically lifespan vs time actually owned).

The retailer can request you show the problem is due to a fault with the product after 6 months but if they replaced once and accepted the issue then hopefully they will do so again :)
