Amendment to package following bereavement

Apologies if this isn’t correct place to post; I have searched.
Following my husband’s death I requested Virgin Media amend our full media service to my sole name. In the same letter, I requested the sports add-on was cancelled and I also requested an up to date hub.
We’ve been customers for years and our contract restrictions had expired.
The account was amended to my name, but I was asked to call regarding other requests. This was February 2021 and it’s been difficult for me to contact around working full-time and for personal reasons.
Is it correct that I have to give Virgin Media verbal instructions, or should my letter be enough?
Thank you.

Invariably they will want you to call them in order that they can pass you through to retentions in order to persuade you not to cancel services.
You can possibly amend services through your online account, but maybe not cancel them.
Be aware that transferring the account to your sole name may well have commenced a new minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop

What do Virgin's terms and conditions say regarding giving instructions to change your service?PondDipper29 said:or should my letter be enough?0 -
To be honest I don’t know as I’ve had lots of other paperwork to deal with. Thank you; I will check.0
