Sudden cancellation by Just Go Holidays

Last October ‘21 I booked a coach trip with tickets to the British Grand Prix and overnight stay with Just Go. For two people as a gift. Paid a deposit and balance due in May 2022.
in January I got a call saying if I don’t pay the balance there and then I have to add another £50pp to the balance. I couldn’t pay so accepted the increase.
last Friday I got another call saying they couldn’t obtain the F1 tickets so the trip was cancelled. They refunded my deposit but now it’s too late to get tickets, they’re like hens teeth! Unless you have a few grand to spend on hospitality.

I’m so gutted so is and my daughter, whose gift it was as we’ve waited years to be able to afford to do this. She is a huge Hamilton fan and it could be his last year.

The company has clearly messed up, possibly cashflow issues and not being able to pay up-front for the tickets. I would imagine many companies in the hospitality sector are having similar problems. As you have your money back I would just accept the situation, disappointing as it is.

Seems race day is sold out everywhere 😢 even tried other races in Europe but all available tickets which are few, way beyond my budget.0

Their website says in the T&Cs
"ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS BY US: Occasionally, we have to make changes and correct errors both before and after bookings have been confirmed. We may also have to cancel confirmed bookings. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so. "
https://www.ukbreakaways.com/ seem to be advertising trips for the Grand Prix - you could try contacting them to see f they actually have any tickets / accommodation
