Sudden cancellation by Just Go Holidays

Last October ‘21 I booked a coach trip with tickets to the British Grand Prix and overnight stay with Just Go. For two people as a gift. Paid a deposit and balance due in May 2022.
in January I got a call saying if I don’t pay the balance there and then I have to add another £50pp to the balance. I couldn’t pay so accepted the increase.
last  Friday I got another call saying they couldn’t obtain the F1 tickets so the trip was cancelled. They refunded my deposit but now it’s too late to get tickets, they’re like hens teeth! Unless you have a few grand to spend on hospitality. 

I’m so gutted so is and my daughter, whose gift it was as we’ve waited years to be able to afford to do this. She is a huge Hamilton fan and it could be his last year. 

I know I’ve got my money back but feel it’s wrong how they acted, is there any yo can do?

If there are no tickets available, there isn't really anything you or they can do.

Surely they shouldn’t have been selling the package without securing the tickets?

The company has clearly messed up, possibly cashflow issues and not being able to pay up-front for the tickets.  I would imagine many companies in the hospitality sector are having similar problems.  As you have your money back I would just accept the situation, disappointing as it is.

Race day tickets are sold out.

Seems race day is sold out everywhere 😢 even tried other races in Europe but all available tickets which are few, way beyond my budget.

You would have to read the T&Cs from when you first booked, but I suspect that you will find the small print does say that they an cancel.
Their website says in the T&Cs 

"ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS BY US: Occasionally, we have to make changes and correct errors both before and after bookings have been confirmed. We may also have to cancel confirmed bookings. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so. "
