When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Today I have/will:
1. No heating on
2. Line dry washing
3. Play online games rather than £££ slots
4. Cashed in my clubcard points and added them to my tesco mobile account - currently £1 of points is worth £2 off my phone bill but from June it will be £1 points = £1 off phone bill. £84 of vouchers cashed in and a standing order set up for three months to move the money I would have spent into my new savings pot (to be used as a lump sum on the gas/electric bill).
5. Spent a £10 Tesco giftcard that I found lurking in the bottom of my bag (went on lamb and trifle for Easter dinner)
6. Bought plenty of cheap veg (2 x cauliflower @ 39p, carrots 19p, parsnips 19p, potatoes 91p). What isn't used for roast dinner will be made into soup and frozen
7. Prolific surveys
8. Glued sole on boots, hopefully they will last now until the summer

Afternoon all,
Went for bottomless brunch yesterday and that's all I did.
I offered Likely Loans a cheeky offer a while back of £200 instead of the £800 I owe. They came back to me yesterday accepting the £200 offer! So this will be paid at the end of the month!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
