I bought a skipping rope for about £2. I’m working at home and sit for long periods, so do get very cold. So, when I take a break I get out the rope, turn on the radio and have a gentle skip for the length of a pop song. Gets my blood flowing and my heart & lungs working, plus I’ve had a break from the computer and even my feet have warmed up.
…Oh, and ankle-deep slippers that stop draughts around the feet are essential to a warm body.

My skipping skills are terrible. Maybe I should try with an imaginary rope0
