Using 3rd party software to sell a service

Options
Didn't really know where else to post this....

I'm using Figma which is an site to create illustrations/UIUX designs etc. You can download plugins on the website that provide you with more tools to work with.

I was wondering what the laws were against using one of these plugins to sell a service on another website? I don't mean use the plugin to create designs to sell as I think that's OK. I mean advertise that I can provide a particular service, and then use the 3rd party plugin to provide that service and get paid? I've tried to look for terms and conditions but can't seem to find much.

I was even considering contacting the creator of the plugin and asking if it's possible to do it and give him a percentage of the sale.

Thanks

You need to read the terms you agreed to or pay a solicitor to look your contract over.

This isn't a consumer rights issue.

You're aware that there are thousands of "web designers" out there who'll charge to create your website who will just spin up a new instance of Wordpress, skin it, add some content and then charge their customer? Just the same as photographers use Photoshop/Lightroom to remove redeye, clone the lamp post out from the top of the brides head etc?

Dont know the tool you are talking about, and ultimately the answer is to read the T&Cs, but most professionals use third party tools to supply their service. The only "complexity" comes where the output needs the plugin continuously (eg a shopping cart plug in for a website designer) and then either the client buys a license of the maker of the plug-in has a reseller option which enables the web designer to get reoccurring income along with the web hosting.
