How to fix my scratched and scuffed bumper?

Got a large but thankfully superficial scuff on my front bumper and unfortunately some deeper scratches on my rear bumper. Any recommendations on approaches / products to get them out? Plain, black bumper here nothing fancy like body-coloured bumpers needing complex respraying. Seems like the approach is standard approach is to apply the correct body filler, dry then sand with 800 grit. Any thoughts?
