How to get rid of mud?

I've to clean my pond. I removed mud+sludge out of pond and kept it in a barrel. Pump can't pump out in drain. I'm left with thick mud. How to get rid of this mud? Any Ideas?

I would imagine it is full of nutrients and would spread it on flower beds and hoe in.
If you do not already have one you could construct a compost bin and use as a base layer.

Never thought of that. Will do, it's going to be messy though. No place for compost bin.

My first thought was to let it dry out but if you shovelled it straight into the barrel there may be creatures in amongst it that can't escape.
Yes, spread it on the beds. I used to do that with an outside drain that filled with soil falling in. Worked a treat.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
