Renewable Energy Prices compared to Oil & Gas

Hi, so i've been thinking (which can be dangerous in itself)

Last week there was a graph on the BBC news that showed a third of our energy supplies come from renewable sources.

The energy cap raised by 52% to reflect the increase of Oil and Gas prices. Why is this not offset with the amount of renewable energies being used? I mean these are being produced in the UK and not being imported and so therefore the costs should be significantly cheaper. Are the enegy companies profiteering on the renewable energies, or are they offsetting an amount of that revenue generated and reinvesting it into producing more renewable energies in the UK? As if not then to me this feels like the ultimate example of greenwashing.

I am genuinly curious if anyone has an answer to this?
