I have never gone for a price fix deal. Considering prices are set to go up again.

    Is this a good deal?
Price Fix 2008 is available on a dual fuel or all electric (where there is no mains gas to the property and its heating is electric) basis. Available when paying by monthly direct debit only. No standing charge option only. Not available with energyplus offerings.

    Please help!

That's like asking who will win the 2:30 at Epsom!!

There has been lots of threads on the merits of Fixed/capped tariffs on MSE over the past couple of years - the most about BG's fixed to April 2010 tariff.

I think I am correct in saying that nobody has lost money by taking a fixed/capped price tariff - although being put at the mercy of BG's computer system is another story.

All the indications are that there will be a rise soon so the various fixed price tariffs seem to make sense.

However it is still a gamble, but one i would take!
