The RBS app on iPad has been updated and the screen display squashed towards the centre.

Instead of having three columns for paid in, paid out and balance, it now has only one, with the balance shown below the transaction amount.

My NatWest app has not been updated, although I could do this manually if I chose. I am holding off on this and hope it is a while before it automatically updates.

I have also found that after the update, it only allows a search of up to 2 years as opposed to the previous 7 years (with a maximum of 12 months at a time in each case).

I haven't used my RBS app yet as I only opened the account a fortnight ago, but the NatWest app on my Android phone was updated last week and now shows the transactions and balance as you've described above (rather than sliding from the side to see the balance as it was before). The transaction history search still allows me to go back seven years.

I don't use the app on Android enough to know what it was like before the update.

I was only describing the app on iPad.

I'm only guessing but.. if you turn your iPad to portrait there may be a little icon at the bottom to click on for x 2 view.

Good idea, but the NatWest/RBS app only displays as landscape on the iPad.

Conversely, I have never found a way to have them as landscape on my Android phone.

My RBS (and Natwest) apps didn't work at all any longer on my iPad. I re-installed (both) and they are working fine again, using the entire display (but only in landscape, as you say).

Mine are both working fine. Just to test, I deleted the RBS app and reinstalled it, but the balance is still displayed below each transaction, rather than on the same row as the transactions.

Yes, that is what I thought.

I cannot understand why they would change the iPad app display when it is landscape, to the iphone/android format which is portrait.
