Insulated conservatory roof - Building Regs

I wanted to know if covering the polycarbonate roof inside means that the conservatory then requires building regs? Its currently built as a permitted development, but I am selling and wondered if this now changed that?
The roof is still the same, just boarded up inside.

As long as you've not changed the roof structure it's fine. There's loads of companies doing the rounds at the moment trying to sell insulated conservatory roof upgrades.1

Permitted development is a Planning issue. Planning deal with the principal of whether a new building, or new part of a building is okay.Building Control look over Building Regulations and they deal with the quality of what you actually build.
They're two different things. A building that may or may not meet permitted development under planning legislation may or may not meet the building regulations.IF your existing building meets the expectations of both planning and Building Control then adding insulation only improves what is there.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
