I finally picked up my lovely Cocker spaniel pup on Thursday! He's just over 8weeks old.
Since we had him his poo has been quite runny, last night was worse and I spotted some blood/mucus.
No food has been changed.
He's not vaccinatied but has been wormed and fleas (vaccinations are booked in Wednesday!)
He usually poos quick after meals 5-10mins. This morning I gave him dry food (he's usually has wet and dry so wanted to try just dry today)
He didn't poo for 3hours! And was a better looking poo! Not as runny!
Then 1hour later done another runny one with some more blood.
I called vets asap, answered there questions. He's alert (when not napping) playing with toys, running, nipping 😅, eating and drinking plenty of food. They weren't too concerned so told me to feed him chicken and rice, and get medication to firm up his poo. (Its arriving tomorrow) and to call if he worsens, vomits or theres more blood.
I just gave him his first portion of chicken and rice and an hour later he has pooed and it's much better! Still tiny bit of blood.
Anyone been through this before? I'm hoping to wait until Monday to go vets as my locals are not taking on new patients so I've registered him to a vet 30min drive away and I don't drive! But I can arrange a lift Monday from a friend who's in town. I've attached photos of his morning poo and his recent one after eating chicken and rice.
I think this is an improvement already so I hope it's just a funny belly, nerves from new home, or maybe he's always had bad poo and I should slowly change it. (I will get advise from vet on this at his puppy check on Wednesday)

My very first question is:
Have you contacted the breeders? That should be your very first port of call.
My elderly dog suffers with colitis. You get similar poos as in your pictures but with added slime! at worse yes, there can be blood Not nice (or good)
I know yours is a pup but I would have some 'Dorwest Tree Barks Powder' in the store cupboard- suitable for 'weaning young animals and for convalescents during recovery' Cheaper to buy from Amazon than direct from Dorwest. Slippery Elm is a very old traditional product- no side effects. You can sprinkle over food- my dogs love it! One 5ml per 10kgs body weight so you wouldn't need much. can give at every feed. Even now you might be able to get some from a health food shop before they close. Holland & Barrett stock s.e food- not as good as powder but would do.
It might be the food itself. One of my dogs is wheat intolerant- he hadn't been fed the correct food when I got him at 2 years old, dreadful poos. Even now if you blow a 'raspberry' he looks to his tail- he's now 10! poor boy
natural live yoghurt also useful
At the moment steer clear of commercial dog food- stick with chicken & rice as that is bland and helps calm down the gut.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

It could be change of home, change of water, or a slight bug.
Continue with the bland diet,
You don't say what you are feeding but it is best to use a quality food with no additives or colourings.
If changing food do it over several days , substituting some new food for the old , increasing the quantity each day.1 -
