RETIRING IN JUNE @66..CURRENTLY WORKING 21 HRS WEEK AND RECEIVE DISABILITY WORKING ELEMENT

Does the Disability Working Tax element continue when i receive my state pension if I'm still working the 21 hours.  Due to finances will have to remain in work and had soo looked forward to June and finishing work but with financial crisis, am unable to.

    Yes, your tax credits can continue. You will need to report that you'll be receiving your state pension. Do be aware though that sometime between now and then end of 2024 people on tax credits will be invited to apply for Universal Credit and your tax credits will stop. If you're single then being state pension age you won't be able to claim Universal Credit.

    Thats good to hear poppy12345 ...I need to keep an eye on the tax issue as don't feel like paying anymore tax into the system since 1971
