Quick question for those in the know, some of the tradesmen quoting to sort the fence out are saying the rails can be reused. Others are saying we should buy new ones.

The featheredge boards were nailed in using a nail gun. Buying new rails is a significant cost. What do you all think?
I have no experience of that type of fence,so please disregard if this does not apply to your fence.

Remove the upright pales in front of posts, even if it means damaging those pales. Unscrew rails from posts or if nailed get behind posts with heavy hammer and knock rails free from posts two at a time and remove rails and pales together as a panel.

Dig out posts and set at required level. I would not worry too much about removing postcrete from posts just dig deeper and wider holes and locate posts to correct level and backfill with postcrete or soil.

You may need to cut another slot in posts to reattach what is now a panel
Not sure if that would effect the guarantee on posts though.

I'd say the rails could be reused.
