How do I stop spam Emails from Google Classroom without making things worse?

For some reason I'm suddenly getting spammed by someone from Google classroom. Does anyone know how to stop them? According to one set of instructions I need to go into google classroom first to turn them off. However, if I do that it warns me that others will receive my details, so it could make matters worse.

If they're all from the same address just block it.

My Email reader has a trash folder but I doubt if this will block them.
I've had to log into the classroom to stop Emails.0
