in november 2021 i was asked by my mortgage provider kensington mortgages to take out a mortgage offer because i was a mortgage prisoner and they had signed up to the voluntary scheme . it states that in my mortgage description for the remainder of the term of my mortgage my rate of ksr stays at 4.09% . but now my mortgsge has been transfered to engage credit but engage credit but engage are a not a part of the voluntary arrangement .
before the transfer we agreed with kensington to switch products to a capital and repayment they told me to wait 12 months . but now they have switched lenders the new company dont do any products and i cant switch interest rates and i cant switch to capitl and repayment with this company i am stuck on interest only with this company .
can you tell me please what i can do or give me some advice . kensington has put me in a hole i cant get out of

Why do you need to be on repayment? Can't you just over pay the mortgage too bring down the loan?0

@connor08 Does the product allow any penalty-free overpayments? If yes then you could achieve the same result as a repayment mortgage by overpaying while keeping the flexibility of an I/O mortgage (if that's something you value).
If the rate is high, have you checked your options to move away to an active lender? If you qualify as a mortgage prisoner (please see MSE guide here https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/mortgage-prisoners/), you may have options using that route.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
