However I have an ASHP with its own meter and that used 5330 kWh in the year from 31/3/21 to 31/3/22. This provides my heating and some of my hot water (although some hot water is provided via solar electricity to my immersion heater). I live in a 4-bedroom bungalow.
You could reasonably assume that an SCOP of 3 times 5330kwh would produce around 16,000kwh of heat
So how does that compare with the EPC calculations for your heating and hot water requirements or even your previous oil consumption based on around 10kwh per litre. Is it in the ballpark or wildly outThat thread then went on to discuss his figures. In the year Feb 2019 - Feb 2020 he burned 1936 litres of oil, roughly 20,000kWh gross.

I'm guessing that if you are heating some of your hot water with solar panels then you could reasonable add another 1000kwh or more to the heatpump consumption so it correlates pretty well.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Our is purely electrical with a log burner.
Its a newish self build, really well insulated, has 7 bedrooms and 5 rooms downstairs including kitchen.
Electricity usage is 3357 per annum (I may have missed a digit out.. direct debit £237 pcm)

E7 4 bed detached rural bungalow here with 8 storage heaters. I live alone. I've managed to get my consumption down from around 20,000 kWh to around 16,000KWh this last year.0

3-bedroom semi-detached, rural surrounded by open space (+ we're the North side of the building, so get much less sun than our neighbours), 4 adults, ~10,000kWh per year.
I am disabled, mostly housebound, and still cold even with layers at 18℃ though, so occasionally the heating (air source heat pump) is put up to 19 or even 20 for a few hours on days I'm most struggling to function in winter. Although my Dad starts feeling a bit cold if it's below 18℃ anyway so the heating isn't all my fault.
[For context: as I sit here typing, the thermostat says it's 19.5℃ and I'm wearing three layers on top, including two fleece jumpers, leggings and fleece trousers, knee-high bamboo socks, slippers, and I've just begun to feel slightly chilly! So the occasional heating boost in winter is not exactly a decadent luxury.]0
