Do I switch tariff?

Options
Good afternoon, I'm highly confused over all the energy stuff at the moment and whether prices may go up again in October etc
Do I switch my tariff looking at the below picture, as my fixed rate ends at the end of May
Thank you for any help

Maybe let it end before switching.

No one really knows what will happen October 2022 to what extent it will rise by.

What might help is sharing the unit and standard charge rates.

Almost 25% more expensive, and £300 exit fee for dual fuel.  Sounds like a hostage to fortune, but no-one can be sure.

They are the highest exit fees I've seen. I think the OP should say which supplier, so everyone else can avoid them. LOL

It would also be good to know if the tariffs are based on ACTUAL consumption over the past year...

Seems to be EDF, for existing customers only.

So you think not switching would be best?
And potentially risk being mucked over if increases are bad in October?

Definitely can't be sure, could be cheaper than if I stayed on standard if they go up again in October

I am not sure depends on the rates and your usage.

If you want certainty or open to see what happens in October.

I am currently on a variable rate with Bulb energy.

I was comparing around but with the fixed rates so high decided to stay with my variable rate.

When and if things stabilise will then fix.
