HBOS Employee Shares

Hi all,
Looking for any help and guidance as my general Googling and searching online has drawn a blank.
I used to work for HBOS back in the very distant past (circa 2007) and while I was there I got awarded a number of free shares. I had obviously forgotten all about this, and only remembered when I was clearing out some old paperwork and found a letter telling me I had been awarded these shares. There appears to be no other paperwork, just a letter listing my name and the award.
My question is, as we are now some 15 years removed, who do I contact to see what happened to them, or are we very far away from it being worth worrying about?
Thanks in advance for any help

On the off chance you weren't aware of the fate of your prior employer, it became part of Lloyds Banking Group a year or two later, so you need to contact Equiniti, the registrar for LBG shares:

That’s great, thank you. I knew they had been taken over, but was struggling to get a clear view of who to contact. I moved completely out of that industry, so that’s a big help. Much appreciated0

Lloyds then got taken over by the government....0

No, it received loans and an equity injection. The OP shouldn't be too optimistic about their shares being worth anything, though.penners324 said:Lloyds then got taken over by the government....
OP, don't forget to ask about dividends and what has happened to them.0
