Returning car

Hi my dad has purchased a new car he paid cash but has now got a problem with head room which is causing him pain in neck and back 
He is 72 and would like to return car what are his rights he is willing to losse some money for the inconvenience any help would be appreciated

If he bought in person he can ask the dealer if they'll take it back but he's almost certainly going to have to take the hit on trading it back in against something.  Next time he should ask for a longer test drive.

Is the seat properly adjusted?

What height is he?

Check the seat is fully down - sometimes they can "stick".

He has no rights as theres no fault with the car, so it will be down to the goodwill of the dealer as to what he will do.

Did he buy in person or remote purchase?
What type of car is it?
Did he sit in a car of the same model before making the choice?
Is it a brand new car or used?
Has he adjusted the seat? Steering wheel?
