Rbs bonus

Ive recently switched my halifax account to rbs just for the switching bonus. 

Ive paid in my 1250 and was wondering how long does it roughly get the switching bonus

What do the terms of the offer say?

When I switched to RBS last year, it clearly defined the date by which the bonus would be paid.

Yeah I read 'by 24th June', was thinking does it usually come earlier than that? Also do I have to keep the 1250 in my bank account?

No to both questions. To be more specific, going of past switching offers I wouldn't expect the switching bonus payment any sooner than a couple of days before the date specified.

From my previous experience with a NatWest (same banking group) switch offer in the past which had a very similar set of terms and conditions and timeline for payment, the bonus was paid on the final day they said the bonus will be paid by. So I wouldn’t expect it to be paid much sooner than what they say. 

And no you don’t need to keep the £1250 in the account.

Similar to the posters above, my experience with NatWest/RBS is they like to leave things to the very last minute. Expect to receive your switch bonus on 23 June. No need to keep the £1250 in your RBS account though - the requirement is just to make a deposit, nothing about it having to stay there.
