    They should be able to get their money back on unused parts, but can charge you for their time and anything they've already fitted.

  • Sounds like there was some miscommunication from the start if the company had ordered the parts in for you.

    When you instruct a garage to carry out repairs or other work, you enter into a contract. gilly58 didnt enter into a contract she merely asked for an estimate so there is no debt to settle.  An estimate is a non-legally binding document. It is an approximation of costs of a repair, nothing more.
