Parking at Gatwick
I'm shortly flying from Gatwick for a short break. I looked for parking off-airport some weeks ago, using a comparison site, and booked it at a cost of £46 for four days.
Due to a change in plans, I now need five days instead of four. I expected to pay a few quid for the extra day, but was asked for £403! It wasn't a mistake: today's price for five days is £449.
Going on the comparison site again, the best price I could find was £173.
However, the official airport car park was only £100.
So, don't assume off-airport sites offer the best deals!
