British Gas Smart meter

Good morning.  I have just messaged British Gas to tell them that my smart meter is showing incorrect values. I am on The Peoples Tariff! They have acknowledged that I am correct and they will correct within 7 days.  People could be looking at their smart meter for usage and it showing a higher amount than what it is.  Maybe worth a check?

What prices is your smart meter showing?

My understanding is that the Peoples tariff is the same as the SVT, are you saying you IHD shows even higher prices than the new CAP?

Sorry for late reply ..yes it does. When I told British gas, he confirmed it was wrong and that they will correct it within 7 days. I'm more concerned that people may be in same situation and be panicking about the amount they are spending

Yes 29.1p per kw electric and 7.67p per kw gas. 50.54p standing charge electric and 32.03p standing charge gas

I still don't understand the problem.. those rates look to be in the right ballpark (depends on your region and payment method), what do you think they should be?
