Customer Parking Only, Court Defence Ready to go... (CEL asking for £318)

If the sign outside only says customers only, there is no breach of contract and no contractual requirement to enter a reg.
A terminal is appropriate for a hotel, perhaps, but is a ludicrous method for a restaurant - you are shown to and pay at a table, not a counter. It is wholly reliant on a third party, not the driver as you'd need to be shown to where it was located.3

            UPDATE:
A few weeks ago I received a letter acknowledging my defence.
I have just received the N180 Directions Questionnaire in the post and I have found guidance on how to fill it out (I can't post the link because my account is too new).
My only question is that, as this form needs to go to both the court office in Northampton AND the Claimant, can I fill in an electronic copy (just google N180 PDF) instead of the physical copy, and then just send it to the court and claimant on the same emails that I sent my Defence?
Otherwise presumably I will need to fill it in by hand, photocopy it, and then send two separate ones by letter to the court address and the claimant?
 Thank you in advance.0

FYI, the N180 was dated to 27 May 2022 and the deadline to send it and 'file it with the court office' is 13 June 2022 so I will need to send these fairly urgently.0

Download yourself a copy, fill it in, then email it to the CCBC and the Claimant. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As you were using the defence template pointed out to you with a link by @KeithP you would/should have seen the 12 step list in which it explains what to do with the DQ (N180) now also explained by @Umkomaas.jj_parking said:I have just received the N180 Directions Questionnaire in the post and I have found guidance on how to fill it out (I can't post the link because my account is too new).

            Hello everyone,
A couple of weeks ago I received a letter with my court dates. There were two dates, one in October to see if some intermediary could sort it out, and then the proper one in December. I was a bit surprised about the October date as I thought I had declined this option when submitting my defence, but I've probably misinterpreted things.
Anyway, today I received a 'Notice of discontinuance' from the Claimant. They also state they have notified the Court of the same.
After nearly exactly 4 years from the original 'offence' they finally seem to have backed down.
Should I consider this done and dusted now or is there anything else I need to do?2

            Yay - scam over!
 ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
 Well done for winning. And...
 ...please don't leave us yet!
We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.
It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:
 https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333036/breaking-news-government-has-announced-the-statutory-code-of-practice-and-enforcement-framework/p1
And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the Public Consultation opens later this year, once the new Ministers are fully appraised.
We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers! You have a personal story to tell about the culture of getting a DRA to add a pointless £70 for their own profit, to be let loose to intimidate people.
