We are staying up in Hawick next week and will also be in Kielder Forest/Observatory one day.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to where best for us to experience a bit of Hadrians wall in that area.
Shall we park up somewhere and do a walk or is it best to go to a visitor Centre?
Any advice much appreciated

The best view of the wall from a road is in the area around Once Brewed (yes that is a real place name). If you are able to walk across country terrain you can also walk up to the wall around there. In terms of attractions/visitor centres along the wall, Chesters Fort and Vindolanda/Roman Army Museum are probably the best, especially if the weather is poor.1
