Water softener advice

Hi
I've seen there's old threads but I thought I'd start a new one in case there's anything new out there.
Can anyone recommend a water softener, so far I've been considering theese three:
BWT- good comments generally and seems smart.
Water2buy- good reviews and has an app, but seems large for the cupboard
Aquacure- can't see any reviews but looks compact and a good flow rate
Has any experience with the above or other recommendations?
Thanks

We have a Tapworks AD10 (think the equivalent model is now the AD11 Edit - just checked and the latest equivalent model is now the Tapworks NSC11 Pro).
Purchased in late 1999 and still going strong. Only had two issues in all the years we've been using it, the tiny flow hole in the "Nozzle Venturi Assembly" became blocked and had to be cleared (an easy DIY job) and in the last year we've replaced a zinc plated L shaped reinforcing bracket which had started to rust with a stainless steel bracket- not used a manufacturers part just bought an L profile piece of stainless off E-Bay.
All that time it's produced plentiful softened water at mains pressure for showers baths basins etc.

I do have Ecowater softener, in our old house had a smaller model (which was installed outside) and the current one is sat in the garage. Works well.“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu
System 1 - 14 x 250W SunModule SW + Enphase ME215 microinverters (July 2015)
System 2 - 9.2 KWp + Enphase IQ7+ and IQ8AC (Feb 22 & Sep 24) + Givenergy AC Coupled inverter + 2 * 8.2KWh Battery (May 2022) + Mitsubishi 7.1 KW and 2* Daikin 2.5 KW A2A Heat Pump0 -
Just bought a BWT softener after our old unknown brand one packed up and leaked water after 25 years!
Very happy with it so far, it electronically calculates how much water is used, so it can display a countdown to recharge (old one was mechnical). It seems to recharge about once every 8-9 days with mostly 2 of us in the house. It can take tablets or block salt, we use tablets.
I bought it directly from BWT as it was cheapest. My local plumber fitted it in less than 1 hour as I had all the pipe work installed, plumber used new flexible hoses supplied with it.

We have a Harvey softener and it still going strong after 16 years. I guess they must y trying to get sales as the local rep called me up a week or so ago seeking leads. No idea what the current prices are, but you can lose nothing by calling them up.
Essentially, there is very little to choose between one domestic softener and the next.0 -
