Received my renewal notice today from AA, said in quote that I had claimed in the last year, no I did not! Have no recollection of making any calls re house insurance and I am a hoader keeping all important appropriate paperwork. How can I counteract this, I did not make a claim against my policy at all. I did ring AA also car insurers, for advice re chip on car windscreen.  I did not claim. It was sticky tree sap. No idea why this has taken place on my house insurance, did not ring insurance company at all re house insurance. Have made a phone call to AA who said they would ring back after calling Zurich. That was one hour ago. Please how do I continue this claim, obviously there is the complaints department will go that route too. So need to pursue this as house insurance due 24 April 2022, Thank you

Wait to see what they say.  No point going to complaint until you know what they come back with.

 So need to pursue this as house insurance due 24 April 2022,

Plenty of time then.

Thank you dunstonh - presume 8 days response time, despite her saying 15 mins return phone call and that will mean under 2 weeks to get quote re new insurance, do want to sort this within 3 wks criteria as advised per this site, which always used as a guideline thanks for responding.

You can always take the policy and get them to refund it later if the claim turns out to be bogus.

If they are being useless you can always send them a Subject Access Request for all data relating to you. In fact I'd do that anyway.
